Below is a selection of photographs currently in my collection, showing mothers proudly wearing the Mother’s Cross. The first two pictures were taken in Vienna, where you can see a BDM member (Bund Deutscher Mädel) presenting a cased Gold Cross to a mother.

The handwritten text on the back of one of these photos is loosely translated as follows:

Today, an uplifting celebration for the Viennese mothers who received the Golden Cross of Honour took place in the Vienna Konzerthaus, where Gauleiter Bürckel took the floor.

These images offer a rare and personal glimpse into how the Mother’s Cross was awarded and worn, reflecting both the ceremonial aspect and the emotional significance it held for many families during that time.

On the other pictures you can see some variations of the crosses in wear.
