About the DRA:
The DRA medal was originally introduced shortly after the 1913 Olympic Games as an incentive to encourage physical fitness among the German population. In 1933, the DRA badge was replaced by a new DRL badge featuring the same design, continuing the tradition of promoting athletic training and physical culture in Germany.
