About the NSV:
The National Socialist People’s Welfare (German: Nationalsozialistische Volkswohlfahrt, NSV) was one of the largest social welfare organizations in Nazi Germany. Established in 1931 as a small Nazi Party-affiliated charity in Berlin, the NSV expanded rapidly after the Nazi Party seized power. On 3 May 1933, Adolf Hitler transformed it into a nationwide party-controlled welfare organization.
