About the item:
Very nice and still in a very good condition book called “Luftwaffe – von sieg zu sieg”, wich translates in English to “Air force – from victory to victory”
About the Luftwaffe:
The German Air Force (German: Luftwaffe, meaning “air weapon” or “air arm”) is the aerial warfare branch of the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces. West Germany founded the current Luftwaffe in 1956, during the Cold War. After reunification in 1990, it absorbed parts of East Germany’s Air Force. That force was part of the National People’s Army and also began in 1956.
The modern Luftwaffe has no organizational link to the Luftwaffe of the Wehrmacht, which operated from 1935 to 1945. That earlier force was disbanded after World War II. In German, Luftwaffe refers to any air force. Today, it still names Germany’s military aviation branch.
