About the Flak 8.8:
The 8.8 cm Flak 18/36/37/41 was a German 88 mm artillery gun developed in the 1930s. It served both anti-aircraft and anti-tank roles. Germany used it extensively during World War II. The gun became one of the most recognized weapons of the conflict.
German troops called it the “Acht-acht”, while Allied forces referred to it as the “eighty-eight”. Its high velocity and accuracy made it extremely effective against tanks. Allied soldiers feared it for its destructive power and battlefield dominance.
