About the Panzer assault badge:

The Panzer Badge (German: Panzerkampfabzeichen) was a military decoration of Nazi Germany during World War II, awarded to soldiers serving in armored divisions for their participation in tank battles and other armored warfare operations. The badge recognized both tank crews and other supporting personnel who played a role in armored assaults.

Originally, the award was known as the Panzerkampfwagenabzeichen until June 1, 1940, when it was renamed to the Panzer Badge. Over the course of the war, several versions of the badge were issued to reflect different levels of combat experience, making it a highly sought-after decoration for collectors and military historians alike.
