Historical Context and Usage
The Flieger-Unterkunft-Verwaltung managed administrative facilities, airfields, and housing quarters for the Luftwaffe. Consequently, supply officers marked canteen equipment with official property stamps to prevent theft and track inventory.
Enlisted personnel and officers used these standardized aluminum utensils in airbase dining halls throughout the war. Production reached high volumes by 1941 to supply expanding airfields across occupied territory. Therefore, well-preserved mid-war items bearing complete, legible stamps remain desirable historical artifacts for collectors.
