About the Ahnenpass:
The Ahnenpaß (literally “ancestor pass”) was a document used in Nazi Germany to certify the Aryan lineage of individuals considered to be “of German blood.” It was one of several types of Aryan certificates (Ariernachweis) and was issued by the Reich Association of Marriage Registrars in Germany (Reichsverband der Standesbeamten in Deutschland e. V.). The Ahnenpaß played a key role in enforcing racial laws and proving eligibility for employment, marriage, and social privileges under the Nazi regime.
