About the Asia Pacific campaign medal:

The Asiatic–Pacific Campaign Medal was a United States military decoration awarded during World War II to members of the U.S. Armed Forces who served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater between 1941 and 1945. Established on November 6, 1942, by Executive Order 9265 issued by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, this campaign medal recognized service in one of the most critical regions of the war.

The medal’s obverse design was created by Thomas Hudson Jones, while the reverse side, designed by Adolph Alexander Weinman, features the same layout used on the American Campaign Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. This iconic award symbolizes honor and dedication during the Pacific campaigns of WWII.
