Very nice and still in a good condition US WW2 Good Conduct medal in case. The case has s small tear in the bottom box (see pictures)
About the Good Conduct medal:
The Good Conduct Medal is one of the oldest and most respected military awards in the United States Armed Forces, recognizing exemplary behavior and faithful service. Each branch introduced its own version over time:
- U.S. Navy: Established in 1869
- Marine Corps: Introduced in 1896
- Coast Guard: Added in 1923
- Army: Created in 1941
- Air Force: Established in 1963
- Space Force: Introduced in 2023
Notably, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal was temporarily discontinued from February 2006 to February 2009, before being reinstated.
